Sri Shekar Kalmady, is one who is the real artist who comes under second category, which I said above. Today when all the field is behind money, this Art lover, kept himself behind art and today the society honored him, respected him wholeheartedly. He has achieved many awards, but still today he kept himself behind the art and not behind money.

Today in Alevoor he is very famous, though he is from Kalmady a small town of Udupi district because of his superb art. During Ganesha Festival, we can see his real artist insided him. Every one who are offering pooja to ganesha wants ganesh model from this Artist only. For the last 25 years he is preparing envirnmently Ganesh model for that he has recognized from various organizations. For the last 35 years he is leading a strict, and dedicated, in society. Many people recognize him because of his art, many because of his social service, many because of his true love

Now he is a Art teacher in NEHARU HIGH SCHOOL, ALEVOOR and also member in various organization like Lions club, Narayana Guru Sangha…..He has trained many students, who are today preparing Ganesha Model independently.

Here you can see many of model prepared for the Ganesha model which is widely Offered Pooja in various parts of UDUPI District. One more interesting thing every year he is preparing different types of Ganesh model and freely giving to SARVAJANIK GANESHOTSAVA SAMITHI ® ALEVOOR, for the last 23 years.
